Interested
in fireplace covers? If you have a fireplace, you want
to make sure you’re well protected from the flame and
embers, to that end, it’s always a good idea to look into
fireplace covers. You may even just want to look into
fireplace covers as a way to spruce up your drab fireplace
that you don’t even use, whatever the case, there are plenty
of fireplace covers out there to choose from.
Now it can
be hard to pick out a good one when you don’t know what it
is to look for, so to help you out, I’ve got a few reviews
here which should help point you in the right direction and
pick out a cover that will look good for your
fireplace:
1. Pinecone 2-Door Fireplace
Screen
This is one
I found off of Target, its rated 5/5 stars by 6 reviewers so
it is a definite winner. This is made of steel with a
dark aged finish and has pinecone cutouts on tree branches
arching across the mesh screen.
This is your
classic screen that is composed of 4 segments, the 2 outer
ones corner off the fireplace, while the 2 at the front can
open up as doors so that you may gain access to the
fireplace should you need to make use of it.
This is a
very heavy and sturdy screen and is an excellent buy at an
affordable price.
2. Antique Iron
Firescreen
This one is
a really cheap option at only $17.48, it is contemporary
looking, made of steel, is curved and has the main front
piece with 2 folding sides.
It is 37 x
7.4 x 31” just so you know. One reviewer mentioned it
was smaller than he had thought so it’s a good idea to see
what these measurements are like first before you get
it.
3. Muskoka Fireplace Screen
with Operable Doors
If you want
something really elegant, here’s a large step up at $249.99
at Target. This is made of steel and has a steel mesh
screen and tri-fold design. It is best used with wood
burning fireplaces and has a rust resistant frame that is
54”W x 34”H.
The color of
this is like a gunmetal grey which is really elegant
looking, especially considering the top of this has a
rounded arch to it with 2 rounded arch doors in the center
that have knobs that open forward.
There are
many other fireplace covers out there, Target is not the
only store that has them as well obviously, so if you’re
looking for some nice fireplace covers, you might want to
shop around and get a bit more perspective.
